The Ecovillage is located 94km south of Brisbane. It takes about 1.2 hours to drive here from Brisbane City – noting that peak traffic times (morning and afternoons during weekdays) can add 30 to 60 minutes to the journey. There is no public transport all the way into the Ecovillage. However the Translink Train stops at Varsity Lakes which is about 15 minutes drive north of the Ecovillage and a taxi or uber can be used from there.

Occasional winter nights can get down to 2C and warm summer days can reach up to about 38C at maximum. The yearly average for days of sunshine is 263 which mean all the solar panels perform really well.
